Mission at Our Doorsteps Conference

The lonely isolation within modern society. Immigrants living under a broken system. The anguished prayer for the lost. The pain of those trafficked to America against their will. These are all unique expressions of our present sufferings. However, such suffering is not the last word. This pain pales in comparison with the glory that God is birthing in and through us. This year's Mission On Our Doorsteps Conference will raise awareness of the realities of present suffering in our communities and celebrate how Christ is bringing His own glory through that grief (Romans 8:18).

2012 Immersion

This week-long Immersion will offer classes in all eight Key Components of CCD (Relocation, Reconciliation, Redistribution, Indigenous Leadership Development, Listening to the Community, Church Based Community Development, Wholistic Approach, Empowerment). In addition to classroom instruction, the week will include daily Bible studies led by Dr. Perkins and other CCDA leaders, site visits to local Chicago CCD ministries, and networking times with Immersion participants. This unique opportunity is limited to the first 88 people who register in order to foster student interaction and contextualization. Participants who complete the program will have the opportunity to gain certification in CCD.
