| A few of our co-hosts in select cities are taking care of registration, so you must contact them directly. Otherwise you can register for any of these classes here on our CCDA website.
Please note that we are offering some Saturday classes in Chicago & Pasadena for those of you who are not able to addend classes during the week. We are offering a 2 day class, April 20-21 in Atlanta, GA with Dr. Bob Lupton for Executive Directors of CDC’s that have a minimum of 5 years experience. Bob will work to craft a fantastic learning experience that will equip you to deal with real life development issues like gentrification in your city. Important Note: We need a minimum of 15 students registered by March 24 th, 2006 to offer this class. The cost of this class is $100 plus travel & lodging. (Lodging options will be provided soon)
We will be offering 8 Institute classes the opening day of the 2006 conference in Philadelphia. Make plans to come early and join us! Discounts: CCDA organizational membership, students pay only $60 per class.

New Hope is an inter-racial urban congregation committed to Christian community development. We are looking for a Pastoral Assistant for Discipleship and Outreach who is responsible for helping the church to grow in the grace of God through Bible teaching, evangelism training and reaching the felt needs of our neighbors. This position helps church attendees, through classes, small groups, one to one discipleship and initiating outreach events, become committed disciples and core leaders who in turn give grace to community seekers. A bachelor’s degree with at least two years of ministry experience is preferred and the position will be shaped to fit a candidate’s specific passion and gifts such as youth, music or athletics. Title of Position: Assistant/Associate Pastor of Youth and Family
Type of Position: Fulltime
Purpose of Position: 1. To build a strong youth ministry that is unified to bring glory to God and to build up His church; 2. To prepare NCF youth to be the church of today and leaders in Christ’s church tomorrow. 3. To train and mentor youth in ministries such as mercy, evangelism, teaching God’s Word, and missions; 4. To bring youth of different races living outside the church into NCF’s youth group, thus bringing more racial balance; 5. To provide for NCF youth a shepherd of their own who will seek to listen and meet their special needs.
Salary: $30,000-$45,000 plus benefits based on education and experience.
Title of Position: Community Development Director
Type of Position: Part-time (with the possibility of making it fulltime)
Responsibilities: 1. Receive training to run Summer Youth Workers Program and car ministry (these will be explained further orally). 2. Help open car ministry. 3. Begin to build support for ministry through governmental grants and area churches and businesses so director position can be moved to fulltime and Open Hand can move into other ministries. 4. Run summer work program for youth. 5. Meet with board every other month and be in constant contact with Chairman of the Board about ministry issues.
Salary: $15 an hour for a maximum of 20 hours a week.

Responsible to: Executive Director and President
Salary Range: $33,000-$35,000
Prefer: College Degree in Non-profit Management, Social Work, Theological Training, or Related Field. Three years experience in non-profit management, supervising other employees, and work among the poor and marginalized. Christian worldview and ethical lifestyle, consistent with Christian values.
Job Responsibilities: 1. To oversee, manage and increase efficiency in all activities at the Meyer Center for Urban Ministries facilities, including, but not limited to, the “Walk-In/Social Services” program, “My Brother’s Keeper” Homeless Shelter, Clothing Voucher program, the Free Clinic, the M-Powerment Program (including G.E.D. classes), the kitchen/dining hall, the sanctuary, building/grounds and special events. In most cases this means working directly with the Directors of each of those programs. 2. To help create “one-stop” opportunities for the poor and marginalized to access at the Meyer Center. Includes involvement in local collaborations (e.g. HOT Homeless Coalition, non-profits, local churches, civic groups, etc.). Coordinate office and Center space for groups renting or using Meyer Center. 3. To help develop and manage a working budget for all programs and usage. 4. To provide required and requested reports from various funding agencies. 5.To provide public communication in the community and surrounding areas through public speaking, newsletters, electronic information, media and other methods to be sure the public and other providers are aware of services at the Meyer Center. 6. Anything else requested by the President, Executive Director, Assistant Director or Board of Directors.
